Hello All,
Excuse my tardiness with updating my Diary, the
last few months have been a joy ride but a hectic
journey at that!
I returned from promoting If You Want Me in the
U.K not too long ago now. Wow what an adventure
that was. I attended the Top of The Pops birthday
bash, had a full on schedule of radio and T.V
to promote the single, managed to squeeze in two
photo shoots, some studio time to write and record
some new material for my up coming album project
and went to a few clubs to check out the local
scene. I arrived at the airport to a proper London
papparattzi greeting; thank god I remembered to
brush my hair before I got off the plane. It was
a full on flight and I believe I learnt the true
meaning of Jet lag at both ends of the trip.
Before heading off to the U.K I shot July's cover
story for FHM in a studio in the inner city suburbs
with a great photographer Rodney Evans. Now some
of you may have noticed that my image had a few
changes for this shoot. After being lucky enough
to appear in both Ralph and FHM magazines here
in oz so many times I thought it was time we pushed
the penny a little further and gave you readers
something different. We decided on a Rock Chic
theme and I hope that those of you who picked
up the mag were happy with the results. We had
a lot of fun on the shoot and the editor John
Bastick dropped in to say hi. We have video footage
for our members that we will be posting on the
site really soon, just to give you a behind the
scenes insight and look at what goes on these
shoots, I trust you will get a few laughs and
enjoy the footage.
I have been out and about a fair bit this month,
I attended the National Blondes Day Breakfast
to promote legally Blonde two, and sat with the
stunning Fiona Mills and the super talented and
equally gorgeous Amity Dry. It was an early start
seeing us all picked up in Audi T.Ts at
8am. It was a fun morning and I must confess to
having a breakfast Champaign with the girls. A
blonde and Bubbly breakfast.
I also attended the re launch of Inside Sport
magazine and let me tell you the room was wall
to wall with stunning models. Followed by the
Guess Watches international Model search where
I was again greeted with wall to wall beauties
and my favourite female radio host Bianca Dye.
This week I spent a day shooting for Ralph magazine.
It was a shoot to support the National Breast
Cancer Foundation. I think this is a fantastic
move by Ralph Magazine to support such an important
cause. The photographer was Anna Bertalli who
has previously shot me for my first appearance
in Black and White Magazine. I was joined by Jo
Ashton from Big Brother and someone who is a favourite
Blonde star of mine Melissa Tkutz. It was strange
to think that in high school I watched Melissa
on E.Street and adored her and then there we were
in front of the camera together, half my luck
wedged between these two girls. That night all
three of us attended a Ralph Party, which saw
Jo make a grand entrance on horseback. I had a
great time and met all the latest Big Brother
housemates and we exchanged house stories. Big
Brother really is such an amazing experience,
I had the time of my life when I was in Celebrity
Big Brother and it sounds like these guys did
to. I adore Reggie and Im so glad that a
chic finally won.
This coming month I will be shooting with Hollywood
director Brett Leonard. I scored a role in is
latest film which is a Marvel Comics film called
ManThing. I play the role of Sarah,
a young southern gal. As you can imagine I am
over the moon about this and cant wait to
hit the set in the next few weeks.
Front magazine in the U.K have me on the cover
this month which is a fabulous surprise for me.
They decided to run me as a cover after receiving
a huge response to my last two features. So a
big thanks to all who wrote in with support to
the mag.
So whats next for me? Well I am putting
together my album material and looking forward
to embarking on the next stages of my music career.
I hope that I will be well received in the marvel
comics film and perhaps some more acting
work will flow from that. I am back in Australia
till the end of the year and will be working with
my favourite photographers on some new shoots.
The skys the limit I guess, I just keep
working hard and I am happy that thanks to the
support of you guys I continue to get to do what
I love.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended my
launch (if You Want Me Michael Woods feat. Imogen
Bailey) and birthday party at the Sass and Bentley
Bar here in Sydney and thank you to everyone who
came to my in store signings at HMV for If You
Want Me. Thank you also for your support with
the release of the single.
Much Love
